
Recently refurbished detached 18th Century former farm building. Now a cosy cottage nestled in 1066 countryside on the edge of the Combe Haven Countryside Park with its own private wood-burning hot tub.
The cottage has one very spacious bedroom accessed via the stairs, with a king-size bed with a luxury bath within the room.
The living room and kitchen space is open plan with a breakfast bar. There is a double fold-out sofa bed.
There is a walk-in shower and toilet facilities downstairs.
The patio is accessible through the fully glazed kitchen door which is part of the floor-to-ceiling glazed eastern end of the building which is drenched in the sunshine in the morning. There is a small fenced and gated private garden area that has a wood-fired hot tub in a secluded corner. There is access to lawn areas for lazy summer days and barbeques (equipment provided).
We have a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, coffee machine, and all the equipment you’ll need during your stay.

We live next door in the farmhouse and are happy to assist with any requirements you may have or any advice and recommendations you may need. Please let us know if you would like us to get the wood-fired hot tub lit before your arrival.
Check-in is available any time after 15:00 and no problem if you are a late arrival.
We will provide you with a more detailed guidebook on all the area has to offer when you check-in.
There is a mainline train service to London Charing Cross from Crowhurst Station, which is less than 3 miles from the property
It’s important to mention that Cart Lodge is within the farmyard of our working farm and whilst you have your own private parking and garden etc, there may be some occasional noise from machinery (depending on the time of year) using the driveway.
There will be some construction works going on nearby but we will try to keep any noise to a minimum (mainly Monday to Friday)
Please be aware that there are three dogs (springer spaniels), which may greet you on arrival. We will endeavour to keep them in. We also have four farm cats.
We have cattle, ponies and sometimes sheep in the fields on the farm. All animals can be subject to unpredictable behaviour and have big teeth and powerful hooves. We will be happy to assist if you wish to become better acquainted with them.
